The Squiggly Beta - help me make this better
Hi special people,
Welcome to my first foray into the Blogosphere, I’m glad you are here! In the name of Open Source, I wanted to get you guys, the people whose feedback and opinions I admire most, in on the ground floor. Welcome to the Squiggly Line blog! This is just beta at the moment - so I haven’t launched onto the global stage just yet. The site is hidden from Google, Technorati and other search engines whilst I get it up.
Please let me hear any feedback as you feel it’s appropriate - if the content sucks, let me know. If it is interesting and evoking enough, leave a comment. Feel free to post accordingly through the comments. Hopefully, we can start come ripper conversations…or just share a chuckle.
Stop reading hear if you like, or go on for some more babble on the whole open-source/blogging thing. Thanks for taking the time to stop by.
I read a book recently, Naked Conversations, which had the following pearl of wisdom.’
In the not to distant future, companies will view having a blog as important as they now view having a website’ - or something to that effect. The message is becoming clear…blog or die. (The authors take, not mine.)’
Open source innovation and business is on the rise. People need to communicate with others today to ‘make stuff happen’ more than at any other time. And, the learning’s that are available to people who want to listen MORE than talk are endless. These are my reasons for starting a blog such as this. I’m keen to communicate, to learn, and to open up what I am doing/thinking. I’m not gonna promise daily content, but I am gonna promise to learn to bare my soul, my thoughts and my opinions. It will be a new experience for me in this digital world, and I’d love to share it with you.
Please let me know any feedback on any of the structure of the site. It sucks right now, as the look and feel is currently ‘being developed’ (read, I haven’t had time yet). More to the point, I’d love to hear what you would like to hear form me, perhaps some of your thoughts on the increasing trend of ‘open source everything’, and about any blogs that you may have going, or are your favorite reads. The blog roll on the site contains my favs at the moment.
Big thanks goes to Ross for his help so far - check out his Thrive site for more info
