Today was an exciting day for me. It was the first day I’ve spent working at the new coworking space to open up in Surry Hills, Home/Work. I’ve been working from home for the past 6 months and have enjoyed doing so but am looking forward to spending more time at Home/Work from now on. Today, I got founder Josh Capelin to give me the tour for 2 minutes and tell us a little about the project.
There are a few great coworking places around Sydney now and I’ll certainly continue to look for other places to work as well depending on what kind of things I need to get done. But Home/Work will now become my base and the place I start from. There are plenty of good cafe’s around, which is fairly important. It’s conveniently located right near Hyde Park and the 10 minutes from Town Hall. Drop Josh a line if you’d like to swing by and start following the twitter account: @homework66.
I think we’re going to see more and more coworking spaces pop up in the 2012. Just next door to Home/Work there’s a new Fishburners opening up. If you know of any other spaces, leave them in the comments section below.
This looks like a great little spot – I’m looking forward to visiting soon ๐ย
